How much did you pay for the parts?
Cheapest I've found is £34

I contacted Renault parts direct, which with slight discount came to about £42 and Renault parts wearhouse or something that was £34ish..
My local Renault will, i think price match if there more expensive so I think I'll get them from there.

Also I'm thinking I may try using another stereo control for the controls, cheaper!lol
But I do like the look of the one you ordered so I'm quite tempted...

Been reading thru this again n I understand most of it,

900ohm for resume button
270 for + button
100 for - button,

Now are all these buttons connected in series to one wire?
And which are the wires behind the steering wheel to connect to? And what connects to them,

Thank you,

Also

Shadowswan, bought all the parts from Renault today, well ordered them... £31.50 total,
Resistors were 13p!!lol
Just need to get the control

Thanks

Only what you need is one switch (cruise control/0/speed limiter), four buttons (+,-,recall and 0) and three resistors (100ohm, 270ohm and 900ohm(82ohm+820ohm respectivelly) - values taken from Dialogys):

(picture is from spanish forum)

You must change it like this:

Under plastic bonnet it is this:

You should find the white connector with five wires not conected to anything. This is connector for CC/SL switch. If you find it, you have almost won (unfortunately I heard that some Megane's have not CC/SL wiring preparation so search it before you begin any step about CC/SL.

Will get details for clip under steering wheel later - going to plan it all out on paper if I am going to make a guide, still a little scared but doesn't look too hard...

Can anyone who has done this give me any advice on how to wire the cables under the steering wheel. Other than that I think I understand it all fine...

Which end goes to which cable?

Other than that I think the need is to

Install switch at drivers knee, which is just pull old switch off add switch

Then wire controller, so four buttons

+ wired to 270ohm
- wired to 100ohm
Recall Wired to 900ohm
Cancel wired to straight

one end of each of these wired to a switch and the other ends all wired together

Then the other ends of all the switches wired together

So that leaves 2 wires, one with the resistors before the switches and one after the switches

I'm guessing its these two wires that connect to the block under the steering wheel, to the two wires that are in their own row? Which wire to which of these?

That should then complete what is needed? Unless you want the screen of course for which you need either a renault clip or take it to a garage and pay someone £85 to do it...

Can anyone confirm that this is correct and answer the other few questions?

Thanks

Yes. But carefully, wires in second row are for airbag.

It doesn't matter. Same as rezistor pinout.

You connect it here.

And which one to which one, it does not matter. Your set of four buttons and three resistors have no polarity.

Exactly.
But you have wrong labels of buttons. It should be:
100Ω for "-"
900Ω for "Recall"
270Ω for "+"
0Ω for "Cancel"
