How good is a megane to increase bhp

Hi, I am currently looking for a renault megane 225 sport but I cant seem to find a decent one with low mileage in my price range. So my question is if I bought say a 1.4 megane or a 1.6 megane how easy is it to tune these engines to make them faster?

Any help on this would be great!

not very easy, the megane 225 is a 2.0 turbo, so unless you can afford to turbo the 1.6 or above engines then it isnt really worth it, your much better off buying a 225 then giving the engine a thorough going over bring it back to top performance

buy the 2.0 turbo 165 version! easily tunable! not got the renaultsport styling tho!
