Wheels

Postby marshey » Wed Aug 29, 2012 11:22 am

Test fitted my wheels yesterday they still need refurb and tyres.
They are 19x9j front 19x10j rear.
It will obviously be sitting on the deck and not have 4x4 arch gap.

Red seems to be a popular choice these days. I personally prefer satin black over gloss black. Do you have the adapters yet?

Black wheels going to be too dark with all the car being black and interior being black i was thinking of something to brighten it up and stand out.

Best suggestion ive had so far is light blue.

Yeah i have had the adaptors since beginning of the year so should really of got these sorted out and on the car back then.

Most people are saying red but im not too sure on it, ideally i need a picture of car with wheels on and photoshop them in a few colours to decide.

Obviously it's up to you but I beg to differ, I think black wheels on a black car look superb, very stealth.

Anyhow, merging the two ideas above black wheels (satin or gloss, your choice) with a red pin stripe around the edge, I've seen a few cars wearing wheels with this idea and they look good.

Black on black can look good and very stealth like you say which i will probably spray my standard alloys for winter but these set i wanted something bright to stand out.

My original idea was black spokes and something bright like yellow or red round the edge and lips but my masking up aint the best and would end up with wonky lines.

I know where your coming from, I once thought that I could highlight the raised letters on my name callipers with a small brush and some white paint, wrong! It just made it more difficult when I had to removed it and apply the 60p stickers

Back on topic what about an electric green, I've a mate with green wheels on his black impreza and they look good, I'll get a picture if you like unless you know someone who could Photoshop yours for you 8-)
