Hi guys,

First time posting here, I have a pre-facelift 2006 megane2. Im after changing the seats to the renaultsport ones from the 225.
Would they be a straight swap? Or would i need the subframes aswell?

Id appreciate Any help or advice that any of you lads can give me.

Yes, straight swap no probs (all connections same on my car) - airbag light is on though, but that's probably cos I drove around with one of the seats disconnected.

Airbag light now out - I realised what the problems was the first time a passenger sat on the passenger seat and tried to belt up - the pretensioner had fired on the buckle side (the car the interior came out of was involved in a crash). Replaced the pretensioner and light went straight out....

I've changed the seats and put my pretensioners in but the light wont go out. Checked all the connections, all good.

Any idea?

I would recheck the connections again, especially on the pre-tensioners.

Your's is a 5-door isn't it? The 2nd pretensioner (nearest the door) may have also fired depending on the severity of the crash the car was involved in (if the interior came from a crashed car). If that is the case, the seat frames are probably twisted / not straight any more as well according to the technical notes.

Did the seats come out from a similar aged 5-door carl? The 3-door version of seats have an anti-submaring airbag fitted to the seat rather than the 2nd pretensioner so that would probably make a difference too.....

the seat rails, pretensioners and seat belt buckles all came from my original seats.

So I would of thought they would be a straight swap.

I'm not sure then - I only swapped the one faulty pretensioner (and kept my original seat belts) - everything else was as it came with the replacement interior..
