Exhaust question
Hi.
Is there any reason I can't add an extension after the rear back box to my exhaust??

Re: Exhaust question
I've got a 225 bumper now so thinking, just building up the dual exit part, ive access to a pipe bender so figured if there's no reason not to I might as well make something up myself to attach to the existing box, although as I already have an aftermarket exhaust I'll need to go back to standard first!lol
N thanks!

Re: Exhaust question
Yea.. Would be perfectly alright!
I'm just putting a 225 back box and tails on mine and making a couple of brackets for it
Try to get it to sound as nice ad possible!
I emphasise try!!!

Re: Exhaust question
The chap runs a self service garage in watton (just west of Norwich)
He's called I-Tuned and is helping me out with a load of my exhaust bits and pieces!
In return for me doing a load of wrapping and light tints for him
A very clever chappy who knows just about everything there is to know! And will help anyone along the way!

Re: Exhaust question
I also have a question:
I also own 1.5 dci (2004) and am after 225 replica.
I want to use stock 225 RS exhaust on mine.
If I only add back box to my existing exhaust, will it effect the performance of my car? Can new back box do any harm to my engine? On the long run?
Same question for full exhaust system from 225 (from catalyst on) to be added to my 1.5 dci? (have an option as two of my buddies are getting custom made exhaust systems on their 225s; but I don't want to do any harm either performance or engine itself.
What about the sound? Will it improve?
Thanks in advance for help!

Re: Exhaust question
I belive even just taking the back box and tail pipes will have a negative effect in performance..
I intend in taking the twin tail pipes only and adapting them to fit on my original back box, this to the best of my knowledge shouldn't have any effect on performance at all

Re: Exhaust question
I am unsure as to where I can get one at the moment but think I might go and measure one and fabricate my own..
Worth a try
