Most of my mods are all paint work
i painted the wing mirrors, door badges, door handles, door pillars gloss black, internal door handles, gaiter surround, gear knob insert, hand brake and brakes
i had the bumpers and side strips done by a bodyshop

i have a set of these but still require some tyres
Image
i also fitted DRL's as i have no fog lights
i have also had it remapped

I have no fog lights and was looking into putting some in, but maybe prefer the DRL's, where did you get them and are they hard to fit? on my car the grill has two holes where fog lights could be, was this the same as your car and where did you get the replacement part of the grill?

thanks

Love the silver painting, would love to do it to my own.
Probably a really stupid question but did you just use a can of spray paint? Because it looks really smooth and shiny?

Thanks

I brought the LED's from virtual village on ebay, i wired them to a switch, i took the power from the cig lighter then ran a cable from the switch to the front of the car for the power. i then modified the brackets so they would fit in the groove on the fog light blanking cover, i earthed them straight to the chassis behind the the grill. one thing i would say is the lights are sold as water proof but there not my first set got water in and some leds stopped working, they sent me a replacement set which i sealed the back with silicone and i also sealed the front around the glass.

With regards to the silver paint i used a few cans of satin chrome radiator paint from Wilkinsons and it is a very good match to Renault chrome finish. to get them smooth i sanded them smooth because all the parts i painted were either textured or had a gel coat on them. i used plastic primer, then grey primer, sanded again with very fined wet and dry paper, two coats of satin chrome then finally two coats of clear lacquer. the door pillar i just sanded smooth same paint process and used gloss black.
