Changed My Gear Insert

I found myself a gear insert for my megane 2 on the french ebay for 20 euros inc. delivery to the uk.
Its plastic but the pattern of the gears are carved in so it doesnt wear off after time.
Took me 2 minutes to do, just got a sharp knife and cut around the insert gently, then popped it off using the knife, pushed the new one down. and Done!

Yeah I used this eBay seller a few months back to get an insert for my 6 gear megane. Only person in the world who appears to sell them lol!

I had this type fitted by renault Cardiff under warranty. :-D

See that's the thing. I went to my local Renault in Southend and they said they can only sell me the entire gear knob for about £60!! They didn't sell the insert as a seperate item!

yeah its nearly impossible to get just the insert, I found this by luck!
