Excuse my ignorance but how come your megane dynod at 150ish bhp when it should have 130 standard? I know there is a fair bit of give and take, and i know it differs from one car to another but 20 bhp seems a big difference to me??

its a good question. its not really enough of a gain on the torque front to have been a previous remap, unless it was very conservative. The car was ex-mobility so I do doubt that is the case. As fair as I can see its standard, no dodgy induction and the cat is in place.

couple of years back a mate of mine had a Astra 1.6 turbo (last shape), that was ment to be 180bhp, dyno'd at 205bhp and that was brand spanking new, he was the first owner. It turns out that loads of those came out the factory up on power.

i'm just taking a guess at this but i think if you look at the figures 113 at the wheels and 151 at the flywheel the average is 130

Aye I've heard astras are infamous for their bhp being completely different from car to car and from factory figures.

hmmmmmm an average sounds about right...

So r u going to get a remap bob?

Not sure whereabouts you are from but saw a map for a 1.9dci 120bhp done in torquetronix in ballymena, NI. Came out at 163bhp. Cant remember torque as at the time i barely knew what torque was lol but 270 rings a bell for some reason.. not sure if it makes sense or not.

found a dyno graph of a 1.9dci 130bhp that has been remapped by celtic tuning...

My graphs are different from the standard results in the blue, the peak results are similar..

Tony got an amazing result from a 13BHP engine (or he should type more carefully!). Pedant - sorry :life
