hello
a simple one really
im looking for some new alloys (or will be shortly) im actually after the ideal figures for a nice wide stance on an 04 1.6 vvt Meg.
its not lowered at all and at the mo sat on the standard 16s witch look silly.
are 18"s a goer??
before i start looking for alloys id like to have
off set, tyre size and any other dimensions that i need to know about, under my belt so i know exactly what to order.
any pics of Megs with a nice stance would be good to get me on my way!
thanks in advance for any help!!

Re: ideal Meg stance?
meg arches are massive, you can get 20s under them with no mods.
18s go on easy, especially if your car aint lowered, i would think about lowering first, dropped 45mm 18s still fit under easy, they dont look massive on like, if you buy any alloy with a large lip or split rim type jobs it will make them look smaller also.

Re: ideal Meg stance?
ideally i would like something simila to that of the 225 and upwards models..thick spoked type alloys.. however i am parcial to the odd split rim or lip design lol
at the mo i just dont know.. if i can id like to get away with not lowering. simply for efforts sake.. i dont plan on keeping the car for a great length of time and i quite like how it drives at the mo.. i dont fancy putting any more strain on renaults already fragile dampers haha
thanks for your help so far.. if anyone has any pictures it would help me figure out exactly what look im after then i can try get the right figures for that stance

Re: ideal Meg stance?
I have the 06 version of your meg.
Installed some 18" Wolfrace Ikon rims and have just received my Eibach pro kit springs.
With standard ride height there is still a mahoosive gap between tire and arch.
I would not recommend anything smaller than an 18 if your not lowering.

or if your not lowering, get some bigger profile tyres put on, the standard 17" wheels dont look to bad not lowered with big tyres.

Re: ideal Meg stance?
you can loose up to 6-8mpg per inch wheel increased.
I would stick to 18", reason being is insurance company wont charge anymore as its within 2" of the allowed limit. And the Tyres are reasonable....

Re: ideal Meg stance?
18s on springs is the best option then i gues thanks for the help so far
that however only covers half of the stance isue.. the biggest thing i need to do is figures. offset etc ie (distence set from arches) id ike it as flush as posible
