lol that is the first time i have ever seen '1.4' and 'performance' in the same sentence...

You would be better going to a motor factor and getting them to make you one.

All it will do is make noise... dont expect much there only is 98 horsies under the hood.

how does this sound to you if this is possible, take the bumper off a megane sport then fabricate the 2.0 exhaust to fit onto my 1.4, think that that one is possible? or am i just dreaming :P

Anything is possible! The only limitations are money and imagination!

It can fit many have done it...

You need the full exhaust system including twin output, the rear bumper off a 225 and the support bracket for the twin out lets. You will need a conversion pipe as the diameter of the 225 exhaust is larger than the output diameter of the 1.4 manifold....

I would estimate if you had all the kit laid out in front of you it would be a three hour job.

If you were to buy all the kit new...

Exhaust system £200
Bumper + paint £250
Support bracket £35
Conversion pipe £20 -40
Work.... free if you DIY

These are only estimates

would be cheeper than a custom made one methinks. would look pretty wicked too. and with having the megane sport stuff on it would gimme more options with backboxes

A custom 225 style exhaust will cost you in the region of £250-350 you might aswell just buy the miltek backbox and get the centre section made from stainless from a cheap exhaust place, have a search for a sports cat aswell, i posted a link up a while ago for some cheap universal sports cats, but have no idea where or what they were called now, but if your out for BHP and not just the asthetics or the sound a hi-flow manifold and sports cat aswell as the full stainless system will be the best bet, your car will be very loud mind you, you have to make sure you dont make all the pipework made to large otherwise you will lose back pressure and in turn BHP.

The standard 225 exhaust can be made to fit onto the 1.4 system so you could hunt through forums/ebay looking for a second hand 225/r26/f1/r26r/GT exhaust and fit that to your system for cheap, and you only would need to chop some small parts out of the rear to make it fit the standard bumper. If i were you id just do that, as your going to get no real performance gains from an exhaust system anyway. 2bhp or something if your lucky.

im just after the looks and a decent tone, not too fussed about getting more power from the xhaust system, the only reason im doing it up is because i will have this car for a long time so i might as well do some work to it and make it nicer than what it already is

You wont notice much difference from the standard 225 backbox.

Bear in mind if you get a custom exhaut made, there is very little room for two pipes to pass, even more so on the standard bumper.
