The Mégane II Owners' Club

Hey everyone,

I drive a 2.0 16v megane2. Just wondering if anyone might know or have an idea on the following.

Is the engine in my meg basically the same engine as in the clio 172 - obviously with some different components in it?

Just wondering why they didnt make the 2.0 meg non turbo with a bit more grunt and if the clio engine basically is the same whether i could lift parts from it and strap them on to my meg?

Thoughts ideas would be welcomed...

Im pretty sure its a totally different engine in the meg, as the 2.0meg isnt a sports car its more of a work horse, so you will struggle to get it anywhere near the clio sports 172 or 182bhp. save the money and buy a cheap mk1 225 you can pick em up for under 6k now.
