Well to throw another log on the fire, I spent yesterday tinting all windows bar the windscreen with 90% tint.

Bikers beware i guess...

Heres the first window.. more pics to follow when photobucket frees up...

O and if anyone is worried about the MOT, just drop the windows and remove the fuse. The windows dont have to work, or be up to pass an MOT and what they cant see they wont fail you for.

i had 95% on my rear window on my old car and 80% on the sides... sides weren't too bad, but the 95 was damn hard to see out of at night. did a good job of keeping the sun out though.

ulrich, youve done a great job on that, how hard was it? Mr Plod will make you take them off at the side of the road and fine you if the are more than 35% IIRC

It wasnt to bad... But i took the glass right out of the car and tinted them in the spare room.

used loads of soapy water and a squidgy* to get all the air bubbles out.

I did try to do it with the windows in but that was a disaster to say the least.

*spelling

Ill get the rest of the photos up tonight.

Ooo and one tip, When you have them done run super glue around all edges, this helps stop any peal of the tint on moving the window. If done carefuly it will never be seen.

Both look very well, however are they on stilts?

I may have forgoten how a Reno looks standard.

For the love of ... drop them at least 40!

Different Car, not limo black, but looks it!

This is our old ST500 (the one we traded in for our Megane CC)

it has 85% Smoke on the Rear Three Windows, and 35% Smoke on front Two windows.

The windshield as you can see has a "sunstrip" which is actually 85% Smoke tint on the inside of the screen, so even though the wipers reached up over it, they never contacted it, as it was inside the screen, and as it was an 85% Smoke tint, you could actually see through it, so it didnt affect visibility, due to that less bit of light, it made the front ones look much darker..... and it was all legal :) :rock - and if you look through the clear part of the windscreen, you will see how easy it is to see out of the drivers window! the darkness is an optical illusion! so it will past all tests :D
