1.6 vvt Re-map

Postby Hog » Fri Jul 24, 2009 5:27 pm

anybody done this?

Im considering doing it but want to know how much better it will be?

and also what the bad points are? for example more wear on parts, I persume there must be a downside or else all cars would already have it!

Search through the mods section and you will see a thread on this which I started a couple of weeks ago. ;-)

Hi Ian, depends on which year your 1.6 is will get either 7/8 bhp and 17 nm more torque. there is no downside to remapping your car, gives it more torque at lower rpm and makes it a lot more responsive.. :)

Fully mobile mate,
No you dont need a rollingroad just for remapping, only for checking before and after results if customer wants a print out..
Rolling roads are ok dependant on operator, some are "very" kind to customers, but most are used for setting up modified cars, and developing new software..
A remap does allow for slightly modified engines as long as tuner knows of mods done. eg: exhaust, filter cams, headwork..... :-)
