Lowering pictures please

Postby onlyme » Wed Jul 22, 2009 11:05 am

hello,
Im after a bit of inspiration, ill be looking at a megane 1.6VVT 3DR this afternoon and if all goes well it could be mine by the end of the week.
now one of the first things i intend to do with it is try and eliminate the black hole of nothing between the top of the tyre and the body work (lowering)
My request is for anyone with a lowered megane to post a pic up stating how far the drop is and what size alloys they are on. Tyre profile to if you fancy. Im aware this has been done on the forum before however all the pictures have been delighted as the thread was so old.
Personally I dont like anything to low, I have been driving a MK2 punto for the past year and a bit and that was on a 50-mm drop with 16s witch was perfect!
The aim of this is to determine how low I would like to go with the MEG and what size alloys I would be looking to pick up.
Thank you in advance for your help!

Simon

right then, have you had any problems with the drop mate? any rubbing or anything? i plan to put 18s on i think, i think 19s would be far to big.

what springs did you buy? and how easy were they to fit? thank you

rs kits can work out cheap enough if you seach about for them

That’s not a 225... Looks the part all the same...

And stevie that looks well. I wasn’t sure about the stick on Brembos but good job.

Powder colour on the wheels looks good also.
