on one site it says on there figures that they can get a 1.5dci to 130 bhp, that must put strain on the gear box and engine?

30bhp extra is a moderate increase of 30% on the eingine, personaly i wouldn't remap a DCI that far, if its the 106BHP engine you have map it to 115bhp, french engines and turbos aren't the best.

Youd could map it to 130 if you wanted but id recomend against increasing the power that much, What you could try is an 'eco' remapp, where instead of pulling as much BHP from the engine, you increase the torque, the DCI that i had, i got mapped to 100 (80 standard) with the same torque as an ST Focus (230Lbs) so it was nippy accelerating.

personally i would not consider a remap until out of waranty as it will invalidate it
knowing how many repairs these get i would think about it

its out of warrenty, i need a bit more info on a remap, what does it do ?

to my its as if i dont get any more turbo boost when revs hit 2.5rpm do they tune the ecu so it lets the turbo work more in the revs? any info would be good i just dont understand the remap thing :banghead :D

Hi,
a good remap will start to boost from around 1500rpm, our maps work so that you dont get any sudden surges just smooth power all the way through the rev range, also gives the clutch an easier life as there are no big boosts of power..

all our remaps have a lifetime warranty/7 day money back guarantee

If anyone needs any info just mail me and i'll get back to you a.s.a.p
