Hi alex,
£260 and i make a donation to this site from that as well.
What year is your car?
A gain of 10bhp and 17nm of torque makes it more eager and pulls better at low rpm due to the increased torque..
If you need any more info just ask mate... :)

hi steve,

just out of interest, does the year of manufacture have any bearing on the outcome of the gains?

its a 2005 2.0 16v with around 47,000 miles on.

How long does the procedure last? 260 isnt bad!!

thanks,

alex

Hi mate,
from 1999 ish most cars are remapped via diagnostic port, although some such as golfs, audi's they were from 2000. so cars before then have to have chip removed from ecu , new chip remapped and refitted.
Usually takes about an hour to do and no the year doesn't have a bearing on bhp..
if you want to know anything else just ask mate.. :)

Hi alex, missed the bit about your induction kit, a remap will take into account your induction kit as all maps are cusomised to suit each vehicle..

Thats so tempting. Can things like clutch and brakes cope with the extra 30 bhp?

The problem is Nm. The clutch is designed to cope with 240Nm. Extra 50Nm will probably be too much for it. That's almost in range of 1.9dCi (300Nm) and 2.0T RS. It will eventually tear the clutch apart.
