Storage Tray/Aux adapter

Hey all

Ive just got myself the connect 2 aux adapter for my car and im looking for the best way to integrate it in. I dont really want it on show, but i'd prefer to be able to remove the RCA to 3.5mm cable when needed so its not always on show. My idea is to remove the storage tray which is just underneath the headunit then drill 2 holes for the cables and attach the box to the back, so basically nothing is on show. How do you remove the tray though??? It will be going back in but its just to make it easier for working on it, but i dont want it damaged and i cant see any releases or anything along the sides.

If anyone has used this aux adapter before and possibly knows a better way of doing it that would be helpful too!

theres 2 tabs on top. pull them back slightly and it'll pull out
