tyre pressure monitors

Postby rickesh » Thu Aug 19, 2010 3:27 pm

hi does anyone know if you can change tyre pressure monitors from one set off alloys to another and roughly how much would this cost and would it be worth the hassle?

thanks

It will be about 5 pounds a wheel. Make sure they go in the same corners.

If you dont fit them you will get constant message saying 'TYRE PRESSURE SENSOR ERROR' Unless you have them deactivated.

You are best to find someone selling a set on ebay.

As each sensor costs £46 new from renault. Then £45 - £60 for them to code them (unless you know someone with clip)

I bought them off a fella that changed his wheel and didnt bother refitting them. (£18 on ebay)

I have a CLIP so i coded them.

So now have fully working monitors for £18 :rock

You will also need to check that your motor has the RF pick up to communicate with them.
