Megane 225: gear knobs and digital speedo help pls

Hi guys, I am new around here, but just purchased an 04 Megane sport 225 and want to do some mods to it but have a couple of questions I am hoping someone can answer.

1. I want to install a momo Nero/s gear knob. It weighs around 215g, I want to know how this weight compares to the stock knob on the Megane Sport. Is it heavier or lighter?

2. I want to install a digital speedometer something like a SPA Design one, or Dakota digital. But my concern is will these be compatible with the speed sensor in the megane. Do they get spliced into the ecu, or are others sensors used for the speedo. Ihave no idea if this is even possible. (I just want a small accurate digital speedo to sit just behind steering wheel as I find the stock needle speedo a little hard to read at a quick glance).
