Double Din Help

Hey All

Sorry if this is the wrong section.

I recently bought a pionner double din navigation unit.
Want to fit this to my 08 megane 1.6 dynamique
I removed the standard stereo and the holder below it
However there is a black plastic bar which runs between the two slots which seems to be connected to the actualy faceplate of the car.
What do I do with this? Cut it?
Sorry Im a totally newbie with this.

Use a dremel or hack saw blade to cut the bar out.
