Megane Sedan

Postby moshneb » Thu Jul 15, 2010 4:33 pm

Today I fitted koni lowering springs in my Megane Sedan 2008 it looks very nice from the back but unfortunately from the front the different between the arch and the tire is very wide I don’t know why may be that my front shocks are different than the prefaclifted as when I changed the rear shocks I found a different part number than any other shock on the net and really it was more taller than the replacement one but for the rear shocks it will not make any different
Any advice will be highly appreciated

The arch gap at the front is larger than the back, so with lowering springs of all the same drop the gap ratio will remain the same. Do I make sense?

Plus, the springs will be bedding themselves in for a week or two yet so it will sit lower in the end.

Totally agree and thanks a million for your reply but is there any different in the front shocks between the face lifted and the preface lifted :-)

When i had lowering springs in the first couple of weeks my wing mirror when parked beside another megane cam up to the middle of the other cars wing mirror. This decreaed to a point where the wing mirror was well bellow that of another megane.

Now that i have coils there is about 4cm between the top of my wing mirror and the bottom of a standard megane. The advantage of coils is i can level out the arch gap.
