They are going on eBay soon if they don't sell on the forums. I would really like to deal out of eBay because of the ridiculous seller fees! :banghead

my thoughts are i dont want to 100% replicate the 225 look, however nice it may be however its in the right direction, so the above rear bumper would be the perfect mod to side step the 225.

however cost being a facter i would much rather settle for the 225 bumpers
R55VYS, were did you pic yours up and how much for? thank you for your help my friend!

Simon

I got the front and a set of xeon headlights for next to nothing off a guy from the owners club. lights didnt fit because of wiring sensors etc, so i sold these, so the bumper stood me at almost nothing, just had to buy the two top grills as he kept these for his new bumper,

looked much better in the flesh.

the rear took a bit more getting hold of, had to search ebay, partsgateway, owners clubs, etc, when i did it to mine about 3yr ago, parts where alot harder to come by like, you'll probably find a genuine rear bumper with grills on ebay for between £50-100.

I managed to keep every single bit of kit i had aquired stored in the garage till i had everything bar the exhaust, then fitted it all on a saturday, it looked like id drove a new car out of the garage.

Never again will i be spending any amount of money on moddifing a car again though so i thought il do it right this time, the next car is going to be something sporty (2seater) or something more practical, depending on what car the mrs gets.

if you're prepared to be patient and scour eBay every day, i bought my 225 bumper, with grills, fogs arch fillets and modified undertray for £70 delivered, it is in perfect condition too. Rear bumper I can't get because my insurance company will class it as a replica!!

Lowering and family :(

Postby Lemon85 » Wed Jan 05, 2011 5:55 pm

Hi all,

I'm thinking of installing 45mm spax lowering springs on my 1.9dci, 3dr, 2005,
together with 205/40/17 wheels and tyres. My question is, will I be able to
Seat 4 adults (say 80kg each) in the car without any issues normally or over
speed bumps?

Any advice will be gratefully received.

Ps. 5 spokes or multispokes??
Thanks in advance.

Woops! Just bought some 5 spokers in black, 7J's. Not thin spokes though (mania racing?). Oh well...

Will be posting the pics when it all comes together.

Do you reckon you could fit 4 x 17" wheels with Tyres into an almera boot (biggest car I can get my hands on ATM)?
Picking them up from Brum and going up to see family with a full load so can't drop back seats!!?? In a bit of a pickle.
Air out of Tyres might help?
