just as the title says really, would like to hear from anyone with a 1.6 who has done any engine mods
considering a new panel filter or induction kit and a remap when i have pennies again, i know i won't get a massive increase though, but still tempted nonetheless
cheers

No point remaping the 1.6, you probs wouldnt even notice the difference especially for the money

after a few mods like, Panel filter, 'better for performance increase than an induction kit' decat manifold, striaght through exhaust, bigger injectors, bigger inlet manifold, high lift cams, after stuff like that remap your car so it all works together in harmony lol
all those increases would get say mabey 50bhp, not to sure tho, im more a diesel man myself.

Re: anyone done anything to their 1.6?
those are the sort of mods i was thinking,
rs twingo uses the same lump with different exhuast manifold, think it has bigger injectors too??? so i would assume you could match the 133 easily enough, then a few other bits and bobs 140 - 150 bhp at a push?
If I thought i could get there without spending thousands, i would. But as it stands I'm just putting up with it, then buying something else when i have money again. easiest and probably cheapest way methinks

If the RS Twingo uses the same lump, then all you'll need to do it go to a scrapper and ask for the manifold and injectors, you'd get them at a reasonable price, its a possibility, as when the wtingo came out, a week later when i went to the scrapper there was on there already.

the twingo 133 also has different cams. I was thinking about a twingo 133 inlet manifold myself. Dont know if you would notice much difference though.

You would notice a difference, alsong as you get bigger injectors aswell, otherwise you'll be forcing more air in than what fuel can go in, causing your car to under perform.

Here you have somothing to look at: turbocharged 1,6 petrol:

Almost 160 bhp and torque about 230 is something to be considered.
