Looking on euro performance they list quite a few manufacturers at similar prices, does anyone have any preferences as to quality, comfort etc or are they all much the same??

Re: Best brand springs for 1.9 DCI
Most people go for spax as they do -45mm springs, not sure anyone else does them, certainly not for the same price, but if your not to bothered about ride height, koni & eibach are generally better springs than spax. and i have trouble getting over the odd speed bump, but there extreme bumps.

how do your tyres wear with -45mm? i do 25k a year in my megane so i want to avoid really silly camber issues?

Not a problem, even wear, i probably do about the same, put some cheap tyres on a year ago and they've still got loads of tread on.
