Nice. Tell me more. Was it expensive? What kind of torque to you get? Does it affect emmision, meaning MOT and insurance?

I think I will go for it as soon as the Mrs says yes.

Just looked at the print out i got from the rolling road, and it said 140hp and 220lbs of torque....i dont know how gud it sounds but the car is so much quicker!
Had some problems on the rolling road with the car and extra power, sounds silly, but the car 'spun out' on the rollers, had to re-test it a couple of times.....chap said it neva happened to him before!

Dont know about MOT, havent been down that road yet! :D Never said anythin to the insurance myself. As for costs, well it cost me £230 inc. VAT, but that was with a crowd called torque tronix in N.I., dont know any prices in England!

well filled my car last week, and when i went to fill it up yesterday, i decided to count up the actual mpg......clock said 57.1mpg, was quite content, until i counted it up at the pump and got well over 58mpg! was doing quite big miles last week, but still had stop, start routines to go through, so pretty happy with it!

i usually average 55mpg and thats with a bit of blasting now and again! :D

Big news, ive sold my megane and got a Kia, and first thing i done was get it remapped, it was a 1.6 CRDI 90BHP
once i got it remapped its at 140BHP with 300Lbs of torque, no joke they even printed out the results for me.

last night i had a race with an MR2 and won to my suprise.

poddy where did you have your map done? thats a good gain, does it smoke much? was it rolling roaded or is this what they said they normally get? i just had a milltek exhaust on my a3 and by god does that make a massive difference would highly recommend them expensive but good!!

obd auto tune in ballymena it was dyno tested before and after. mapped up to 137.6bhp from a 90bhp 1.6

it was a custom map not the 'off the shelf' generic maps u get from angel tuning.

they also said the dci engines were soft and would start to break parts 6months after they get mapped, and power gains aren't the best. they like mapping CRDi and TDi engines as there very reliable annd get good gains from them.

thats a good gain i had my a3 mapped at rapid remaps custom for more go but still decent fuel consumption, not been dynod yet though but on 0-100 its faster than my bros 200bhp 2.0 red top corsa lol is it the kia ceed youve got?

Aye the 5door model couldnt wait for a 3door to become available the 2extra doors helps and theres no extra smoke.

and it wouldnt be too hard to beat a red top corsa as all they do is spin in 1st and 2nd lol

if you try contacting a local garage that specialises in performance motors, 'OBD Autotune in Ballymena for me' they would be able to hook you up with a larger intercooler, and possibly a hybrid turbo if you want to increase performance
