I was thinking about a GT rear bumper, any gen?

I was thinking about getting the GT bumper for my ph1 meg, has anyone on here got any info/££? it tried searching the forums but "GT" is too short!!

I would of thort that it will fit no problems, and the bumper will be between 2-300 quid from renault, just get a reg no from a gt go to renault and get a price, you will probs find out that most people who work for renault wont even know what your talking about, and probs wont even know what a gt is. The problem will most likely be sorting an exhaust, as i think the standard renault gt exhaust is a fortune, and there aint a great deal of them about to find one second hand (i would imagine anyway) Which might mean you'll have to go to a custom exhaust place, probs charge you again about £2-300 to do a twin exit stainless backbox if not more as space is very tight on the twin pipes.

The GT is a facelift model 06 on
The rear bumper is different to the mk2 phase1 the standard mud flaps do not fit so not sure about fitment

cheers for the info guys, i'm sure a guy on here bought just the gt engraved silver trim piece and adapted his standard bumper to fit it can you remember?

the rear bumper should be the same fitment, people have put the ph2 rear 225 bumper on the ph1's no problem. its the front bumper which would need more work, ie headlights etc.

the GT bumber hangs lower than the standard meg bumber. well maybe hang is the wong word.

thats exactly how i want mine to look at the back, i'm not terribly bothered about the changing the front just yet. i thought it might be a cheaper alternative than going for a 225 replica, but maybe not!!
