Re: 1.6 disc upgrade!!!!
Surely the 225 discs are drilled for 5 stud and wouldn't fit your car?
Re: 1.6 disc upgrade!!!!
it would cost you a fortune for the discs and calipers alone, never mind the conversion, you'd have to change the hubs etc which would also mean 5 stud wheels.
just buy some drilled and grooved discs, cheaper option about £100 or so, and wont put you thru the windscreen everytime you dab the brakes ha ha

Re: 1.6 disc upgrade!!!!
Some (if not all?) versions of the Scenic II have 300mm "normal" front brakes which are 20mm bigger than those on your 1.6 (280mm). Although bigger, they should AFAIK be a straight forward swap where you don't need to change the hubs and such. Just get the calipers off of such a Scenic II, then get some aftermarket grooved 300mm discs for the Scenic and you should be rocking!
"Normal" above meaning that, despite the larger diameter, the brake disc offset and the caliper construction are similar to the standard 280mm Megane brakes, whereas the 225 brakes are made by Brembo and are completely different from the standard.
