Only cheap mods i've been thinking of doing is changing the orange indicator bulbs for some silver ones. Hardly a mod but still makes it look a little cleaner.

Fit some LED stop/tail and front sidelight bulbs. They look good, cost very little and last virtually forever. You can have your sidelights on all the time... useful seeing as your car is the same colour as mine... INVISIBLE BLUE (Well at least to other drivers judging by the number of times i get cut up :-) )!!!

Hi busternlouie,

Can I ask a quick question...

I have a 08 1.5 TechRun, how easy would it be to alter the side lights or stop/tail light from normal bulbs to LEDs?? Can one do it oneself or does it have to be done by a professional?

K

What about that ambience lighting TheFinn has presented somewhere else? Looks great at night - I fitted it too.

Its really easy, exactly the same as changing a bulb, except instead of replacing with ordinary filament bulbs you fit LED bulbs instead.
So in short, if you can change a bulb yourself, you can fit LED bulbs. I got my bulbs from eBay but many places sell them.

how bright are they? i think it'd look good if they were super bright.

These are similar to the stop & tail bulbs i got eBay link. They are as bright as regular filament type bulbs.

And these are similar to the sidelamp bulbs i got eBay link.

I have just chromed my window surrounds, like my next door neighbours Audi A4 S line. It really looks well, well at least on my metalic black Meggy sports saloon, should have been like this out of the factory.

PS)

just had a test drive in the 230. Me driving a 2.0 Salon. The words Holy Sh1t come to mind. All you do is gently touch the pedal and you think your going through the SG1 star gate! Was at 20mph breathed once and was at 90mph... And going round a roundabout with the Slip Diff ooooo was like glue. When my warranty is up I shall be a proud owner. One thing i did notice was the fuel light came on... story of that cars life!

If only they bult this in a saloon.. the longer wheel base and all that....
