spraying bumpers / rub strips - anyone got any good contacts

anyone recommend someone who can spray my bumpers and rub strips to black to colour code with my car?

i like the idea of the smooth rather than textured finish too

yeah ive been lookin for sumthing the same, im guessing just go to a car stylist and they may be able to give u more info on the topic

you can go to any local garage and they would do it...just have to drive around to these garages and ask...i dd, think the guy said £100 just for spraying it.

im getting a quote from a sprayer at a meganesport meet so will keep you posted on what he reckons.

and did you get the polish finish, or jsut get the strips painted??

i got it done at the dealers before i collected the car, think it cost about £350 or £400.

they're just painted, although the layer of paint does reduce the texture slightly.

i just had a quote from a mate who works for renault - the sprayer there reckons £250 for the smooth finish (but i havent seen the quality of his work or heard anyone who has had work done by him b4)

an MS forum member has quoted me about a similiar price and i have heard that he has been recommended previously / done good work.

getting one final quote from another MS member - so we shall see!

Not had the same thing done, but got my bumpers and side strips painted, cost me £260 for both bumpers n side strips to be smoothed and painted(no fitting), and i had the front bumper smoothed off, really good job to, but im way up north from were you are.

Best thing to do would be to go on yell pages and find all your local bodyshops/ accident repair centres/ etc and get them to give you a price, all the work i had done varied from £200 - £450 but i was more bothered about the technique they were going to use for smoothing the bumper off as i didnt want it just filling with bodge.

The side strips come off, and go back on easy as, so if you were prepaired to take the bits off and put them back on yourself, might save you some £'s

Sorry didnt make it very clear before, that £260 that i paid was to paint and smooth the two side strips, smooth off the recess where the number plate was, and fully paint two bumpers,
