Exhaust trims!

Postby lagonda » Mon Jul 02, 2012 12:07 pm

Hello! Don't have a club sport or sport version ,though my black 1.4 Extreme looks very sporty as everything is coloured coded the same which is rare on this model and has the top spec /interior ,which most on this model never had as this was all put on as this model was a last of the run of the production line before new/current shape! air/con etc.. same colour door handles/better lights shape.

What i am trying to find is a SHORT exhaust trim that either faces down as exhaust is a STUPID face down type or as i have found 90* degree drop down trims! My concern with that or even both is ground clearance, like if go onto a country verge and rips the whole exhaust system off by accident by catching etc.

The best one i found is on a italian website but no delivery to UK and its VERY short and would just face down but would conpliment the system making the car look so much better! I wished they had never had a drop down exhaust as even the new model is the same and for those who like the car to look sporty to the tail!

Some examples of ones i think may work! Either L shaped or very short stump to fit over end to give performance look! so either short trim or 90* degree L shaped trim!

L SHAPED . as exhaust is a face down exit type! This will bend it round and face out under Bumper!

or

This is a short, very shortish tip finish i can find,ie..less than 5 inches to attach to face down exit, will give a better look and give some ground clearance! :conf

NB.exhaust is 48mm diameter so ideally looking for a girth fit between 40-55mm and if a facing down finnish not longer than 90/100mm! Ideally! :hm
The L shape, wandering as it exits the exhaust box slightly cuvred,is there enough give in room to attach a Trim?? :nut

:?: Anyone knows a UK firm that could supply the Italian short tip ones??

:D Decided not worth it as it will face down and where i live with all the road humps it could get knocked and damage my rear exhaust system.I just wished it never faced down, looks sh1t like that ! 8-)

to be honest, single trims only look good when there coming out of a cutout in the bumper closer to the wheel than the centre of the car like mine is, unless it was a 225 sport twin exhaust with bumper cutouts, i wouldnt bother with single tips
