Folding Mirrors

Postby mike123 » Wed Oct 15, 2008 10:34 pm

Hi,
I was wondering if any of you knew wether its possible to install electrically folding wing mirrors as an aftermarket job? I have a dynamique model with electrically adjusted mirrors. I was thinking about having the wing mirrors modded to make them fold in when i lock the car. Would renault do this? Any one got any ideas if this would be a costly job?

Thanks in advance

My 2004 dynamique has the folding mirrors as standard. I simply turn the adjuster switch to the bottom and they then fold in. I thought this was a standard spec item on the dynamique?

Issues to Date:
Dephaser - replaced
Cam Sensor - replaced
Start up problems, goes to two cylinders unless reved to hell - annoying, but untraced cause.
Water Leak in Boot - removed, came back, removed, came back again. Given up

I have a 2005 sports saloon 2.0 dynamique... Do I have electric folding mirrors? If I do how do I operate them?

Thanks

As busy man wrote. if you mirror adjustment has a solid dot at the bottom, turn the knob to face it and the mirrors fold in.

Mine didn't :( If it wasn't for my bad luck, I'd have no luck at all!

Well if you have the third white dot you’re on to a winner... When I tried it this morning for the first time... I thought to myself 'having three dots in Meggy is better than three numbers on the lottery!

The flooding mirrors I never knew I had... check Utube for a video...! lol

It would be a new mirrors and a new control unit.. maybe extra wiring if its not already there. Would not be cost effective by a long shot. IMHO

Hi, I have folding mirrors as standard but they have stopped working. They adjust still but won't fold in. Any ideas on repairs? Is it a fuse? Is it the motors? Any help much appreciated. Thanks
