Can anyone tell me size of the speakers in my Megane? I've got a 53 plate dynamic, 3 door.

13cm speakers in front doors and rear.

I recently had the door apart on my wifes megane changing a window regulator at the weekend when I looked at her speakers.

I noticed the cone was squashed and the actual speaker looked like it was made of paper... rubbish quality hence why she has rubbish sounds.

I want to upgrade the speakers, not much bit just something a little better and I noticed there are tweaters in the dash.

13Cm for the 4 doors but what type of speakers can anyone reccomend and should I replace the tweaters too?

You require the the Pioneer TS-Q131C 13" and tweeter combo (for the front)

and the Pioneer TS-E1396 for the rear.

about £120 all in but worth every penny even with the standard HU. Even if you just change the front set £70 you shall notice quite a differance.

Are there any other combos I can get perhaps on ebay??

The pioneers are made as a direct replacement for the megane. They are slimmer than the average speaker. These are your best bet.

If music in the back of the car isn't important i'd look at only replacing the front speakers. For the driver/front passenger, rear door speakers are pointless in a audiophile kinda way.

Pioneer TS-1384 < I found these earlier whilst browsing for some new speakers.

They're an alternative to the TS-Q131C , not as powerful but far cheaper.
I don't no what the quality is like but they seem to be a fraction of the cost.

Just that everyone seemed to complain about the costs. (though worth it)

Just ordered some TS-E1376's! Should be good in the back.
Waiting for a chance to fit them, probably next weekend.

I have just spent £320 for a Full Service and a fan belt replacement, they reset the airbag light and did a couple of minor niggles.

I replaced the Window regulator myself, the new part cost just £40, very lucky to have a neighbour that works for a certain French dealership that cough.. managed to lose one for me... so I save a couple of hundred quid...

Ahaa I hear you say you could spend that saved cash on the sounds...But that saving is offset by the fact I need new brak pads and discs front and back...

Bugger that's at least another £300 I bet.

So I wanted to cheer my Mrs up by buying her some improved sounds...

For that £300 I would get the Pioneer TS-Q131C + TS-E1396 for sound, then EBC green stuff pads and matching disks all round, I believe I have spent about £350 on those items and worth every. Much better sound, and stopping distance is decreased significantly.
