power supply needed

Postby nickbell69 » Sat Jan 10, 2009 4:47 pm

I'm fitting a Harmon Kardon plug and play for i pod use and rather than use the cigarette socket for power i'd rather permanently connect it with leads supplied.
Got 3 leads
yellow +12v dc
red - acc
black- gnd

Need help as to what to connect these in line with.
Can they go to wires from stereo? If so which ones would be of help?

Hope someone can help.
Nick.

Will do. Tried it first just to check it worked and it seemed ok. i've mounted the control just above the handbrake and display is top right just above glove box(easier to hide cables i thought and slightly less visible to prying eyes).
Unit is in glove box so just need to wire up power now, job for next weekend i think. I'll "try" and post pics once done.
