Steering controls with HU..!

Lad it aint really that hard to get any old head unit to work with the remote ( as long as the head unit accepts a remote input ) All that is required is the correct harness cable. I have found that a lot of manufactures run with the kenwood pin setup. ( but if not its easy enough to swap pins with a half decent wiring diagram.)

don't know if this is of any use but Dynamic Sounds also sell Steering Wheel Interfaces that are manufacturer specific, so any HU can use your Steering Remote Controls.

For the Phase 1 Megane you need this one:

I assume that one is for the tunerlist and one is for the updatelist too.

Do all meganes have steering wheel controls or do some have the audio remote stalk like in Peugeots? Mine's got an "audio remote" according to the advertisement (not got my car yet) but haven't looked....will it be steering wheel mounted or on a stalk?

I've been reading a few of the steering controls threads and their quite a few people complaining about the response being slow.

could any one point me in the direction of a half decent wiring diagram? my HU just has wires for the stalk but im strugling to work out the wires coming from the stalk its self.

I have a pioneer AVH-5700dvd and I cannot see where I need to plug the pioneer adaptor from the stalk adaptor.

Ok this cant be done, read on here that someone had connected a stalk adaptor to the same head unit. But this is impossible as the headunit doesnt have a hard wired remote input.
