i have approached 2 dealers they say that is only a factory fit option ie wiring loom mod. (this is backed up by looking at the installation in my sons 06 renaultsport 225 which has the same set up as i am trying to fit.) so i thought that i could maybe obtain an after market lead.

mick.

Im sure its just a lead that plugs into the 6cd port in the back of the radio with a blue plug then the other end plugs into the 6cd unit you have bought! even ones ive seen for sale on Ebay etc.. sometimes say 6cd unit complete with cable! Even when you buy the Tune point ipod/mp3 connector for the renault this acually uses the 6CD port on the back of the radio, again this is just a lead with the same blue plug but obviously the other end of the cable has the fittment to plug into the tune point box!

The dealers are just being arsey with you i recon and trying to get you to book it in so they can fit it and charge you the world to do it!!

hope this helps

I took an in dash cd changer out of another megane so i can fit it to mine.

When i took it out i also took the lead from the radio to the cd changer, however there was one blue wire that went off into the dashboard somewhere.

After fitting it to my megane, it worked but wouldn't light up with the rest of the dashboard lights at night, that's what the blue wire was for, i've got a haynes manual and in the back looked at the wiring diagram for the radio & display unit.

I linked it in to the display unit, (following the wiring diagram) and once that was done it worked with the dash lights

:D
