SONY UNIT ADAPTOR

just brought me a SONY MEX-BT3600u headunit for the megane but halfords didnt have the steering control adaptor does any body no where i can get on of the adaptors from, people who have sony units ive had sony before and had the sony joystick on my other car so im thinking is it an adaptor that goes over the yellow adaptor and then in the jack hole?##


just phoned halfords, Im confused now, the yellow conector hind the stereo i thought i could get a connector that just goes over that and i connect it to the head unit, but halfords are saying they need to wire wires upto the display and so on

That should work pal, but it does say u need another lead that must plug into that lot and then into the sony unit.

have a look here and find the year of your car, shows the unit u have listed but again says u then need the make percific lead to bring it altogether!

can someone explain what leads goes in what i can understand half of it



i understand where the two big black connectors go but if you look theres a small back one whats that for? and theres a yellow one is that for the yellow connector in the car behind dash from old stereo? and on the bacl box theres a white slot im guessing thats where the other sony leads fits in?

looking at that pic matey, the 2 large black plugs are the ISO connectors, that just plugs inline with the cars wiring loom prob to pick up a power feed for the bit your adding.

the yellow socket will plug into the yellow plug (this will be the steering wheel control wire)

either the small black plug or white socket would plug into the sony lead which then plugs into the jack socket on the back of your new sony radio. Its quite hard to see the pic correctly, but each plug will only plug into one socket, so its not as if u can get them mixed up

gud man! to stop any more confusion, do a step by step guide on how to fit the bloody thing lol!!!
