Hi all,

Just needing some help with regards to a friends 2002 Clio. The Clio originally only came with a radio and no cd player, however she bought a second hand cd player
from another Clio owner which came with the code.

A couple of weeks ago the car went into the garage and they disconnected the battery and now the stereo is asking for the security code, only she doesn't know it and cant remember where she wrote it down!

So my question is whether there is anyway round paying Renault stupid amounts to obtain the code, if indeed they will do it as its not her original radio?

Any Renault dealer can retrieve the security code from the codes printed on the sticker on the side of the radio.

I think it's just a matter of explaining what happened and hoping that they will do it and without any costs.

Does the previous owner of the radio doesn't knwo the code anymore by any chance?
