Ive Just bought a new alpine headunit for my 04 megane
What i was wondering where do i look for the leads that let you retain the display(where the clock and temperature is) and the steering controls
is it an easy job getting them fitted and are they pricey???
And also how much would it cost to get the headunit fitted???
cheers mark

put car audio into search engine will bring a list of companies up look for steering remotes
or incartec, connects2 and autoleads make a range for the megane
to fit put 2 small screwdrivers or proper removal tool into holes at side of radio gently push sideways and pull the radio out
undo the plugs at back of radio
fit metal cage in hole
connect plugs to new radio slide into place done
why pay halfrauds for that

Yes, you will. You dont need to be a mechanic to fit a new radio, everything is plug and play
Just follow Steve's advice

one more thing to consider:
if you have one of those carminats chances are that you cannot use the satellite and the display adaptors....I had that problem with my Alpine 9871RR in combination with the smaller Carminat (orange arrow-style display)

satnav systems.....with PH I it is Carminat 5000 and Carminat 8000 , with PH II. it is Carminat 1+ and 2+ afaik....and the displays of those usually do not work with head unit adaptors....
or are the satnavs called different in the UK ?

hello. it's my first post here so if I do anything wrong don't bite me ;]
I got a question. I'm wondering how I should install my radio Pioneer DEH-6800 instead the Tuner List. I know it's really simple work, but there's a problem. The cage I got with the radio doesnt fit... Here are photos of this I made few days ago:

Unfortunately, It's not my car... My father doesnt let me modify anything in tit.

Somebody help me with this problem?
