hi phil,

you WILL notice a great difference if you replace your standard.

there are some pioneers that were made for the megane.... TC...somthing. If you do a quick search you will find the model number...and other people that have upgraded and now enjoy a wider range of frequencies through your ears

You're referring to the Pioneer TS-Q131C! These are Plug and play for Renault :)
Great improvement in sound quality, a lot of Megane II owners have them installed. The factory speakers are lousy, they feel and look like paper :(

And I have these in the back, Pioneer TS-E1396

Is there anyway at all of fitting some other speakers? perhaps using a mdf spacer, as all the speakers I have been looking at are all quite deep for mounting, and after doing some research, this seems to be the problem.

Has anyone fitted in anything else?

Thanks in advance

i've fitted some sony xplod components in mine.
yes it's deep but i put some hard plastic sheeting behind it to aid water drainage... and also taped up the connections with electrical tape to stop water contaminating the connection

What else would I need to do then to mount something like you have in them, I presume a MDF spacer and I guess the fibreglass is to pretect from the rain.

Could do with really gettting the covers off and having a look I guess so I know what there is. Least I can get to the speaker easier in this car, had to take all the door cards off in the last one
