Postby Ozzy82 » Sun Feb 17, 2008 7:28 pm

i was wondering which headunits will fit in my megane, and if ppl can recommend me one. i am looking for a dvd player with built in motorised screen, or (if it fits) a double din unit. i have seen two which i am interested in, what do you reckon?

Alright Ozzy,

ive got a single din in my car now (pioneer P 7500) flip out screen. its fits and its great...only problem is that it sticks out more then you would like....but i have a 10mm recess kit on it so its ok.

im now (well at the end of the month) going to buy and install the DNX7200 with the built in sat nav and ive seen some pics (here on this forum) of someone in Germany with the same.

so yes a double din will fit

your second link didn't work, but the DDX 6029 is old, go for the DDX 7029.

so i parted with my hard-earned cash for the pioneer p5900dvd and it is great! sticks out a little but thanks to some info from ICEMAN that should be sorted. i am having some problems playing DivX files on it tho. If theres anybody out there who has got or has had this headunit, can you please give me some info on any problems with playing DivX format dvds and how to burn them correctly so i can play them
thanks

dont do it!!!!
i fitted a double din gps motorised screen unit, took me hours to fit and install corectly to look "standard manafacturer fit ".

less than two weeks after fitting it some scumbag nicked it breaking in and ripping it out cauing damage to the dash, doors and glass!!

i thought it would be ok and was carefull where i parked it but this happened on my driveway at home.

sorry to put a downer on your future install but the thieves are still interested in car audio equipment (they need to raise money for the drugs some how!!)
