head unit querie

Hi all hope some body may be able to help here.
I've just got my self a fm transmitter and need to be able to tune the radio on my megane's cd head unit manually to an unused station but every time i try to tune it, it automatically tunes in to a radio station thats in use.

Hold down the tuning button and it should switch to manual
