Double Din Fascia Adaptors.......URGENT

Hi all

im going to buy the new kenwood double din unit, however i need the Fascia Adaptor !!!

anyone know where to source it from???

dont want to spend £700 and not be able to fit the unit!!

any help would be great

I've never seen a double din fascia adapter for sale...

and anyone that's actually made use of the 2 DIN slots, usually had it custom fabricated.

im going for the Kenwood DNX7200, the fascia kit on their web site is "comming soon"

just woundered where i could get one...even if it was fabricated.

who should i ask??

As far as I know there isnt one. The people I know who have fitted double DIN units have had something fabricated. It won't stop you fitting it though, it just won't look too tidy

Perhaps this part here might be useful?

You can see it "in action" on this thread of a German Megane forum. (I'm not 100% sure if that's visible to non-members there. Let me know if it isn't, then I'll try some nasty hotlinking...)

Basically it's an adapter for two single-Din units, but the German guy has just cut away the centre rib, and from the pictures it looks like the metal double-DIN mounting collar fits perfectly into the opening then. And the adapter is for 2007-> Méganes, but again after some cutting&shutting seems to fit nicely in an older Mégane.

And he even seems to have the same Kenwood HU as you!
