Original audio CD player

does anybody know why the CD player always gives an "error" message and the CD comes out, although it is an audio CD??
my car was ok when i bought it.. until i started burning CDs ("gigamax, sony" all made in china) and used them in the car instead of original CDs.

sometimes when i put the CD, it comes out with an error message. also, when i change between tracks, i get the same thing to happen again.. i inform Renault and they simply replaced it with a brand new one.

yet the same thing happened, but very frequent.. i mean in order to get one CD to work u have to put it like 10 times after it comes out with the regular error message :badred: . also, whenever, i try to go the next track the CD comes out. sometimes the CD works but i can't adjust the volume... :-(

is this due to CDs poor quality? or the CD player is not working properly and needs to replaced???

have you tried it with a proper CD to see if it does it with that as well?

yes, i've tried an original CD, but it did the same thing..
maybe, there is some kind of a lens that needs cleaning?

Certainly sounds a bit dodgy. You can get CD lens cleaners, try and get one with a CD that has brushes on it. I don't think it will help though

i just gave a phone call to Renault.. i told them that the CD player is crap and not working properly.

they told me "it is one of the BEST", "are u using non-original CDs?" , i told them yes... they told me "that's it!" 8-)

i told them i am using copied CDs since 4 years.. they told me, then "you are using poor quality and thick CDs, which is hard to circulate within the CD player", they told me if u want to continue using copied CDs then buy thin ones and try to get better quality ones.

i will take their advice for now and see what happens next
