We've bought a tunepoint to connect an iPod to a factory fitted head unit but got a problem...
We connected it up when it first arrived and it worked - at first. Then the iPod froze (which has happened before - this is now the fourth iPod we've had) so it was all unplugged and we got a new iPod (the brand new version nano).
Fitted the tunepoint as before, this time fitting it all in place, but the head unit is now not registering anything connected to it. When you press the 'source' button, it scrolls through LW, FM and CD but doesn't find the external source (which would be a CD changer if that was connected).
The iPod is showing connected but the head unit doesn't find the source.
Has anyone got any ideas what's wrong and how this can be corrected?
P.S. The person fitting it is a fully qualified electrical engineer and even he's scratching his head!

I'd suggest checking the connections are being made OK, and the connector's not been put in wrong. There's no reason for it to not recognise anything on the CD-Changer, as long as it's working.
Failing that, do you know anyone else with a Renault that has the same head unit? Try it in their car too...
