Ive not been able to find anything out about this and im quite confused, i put a cd in the multidisc chager in my megane, and it said disc error( normal cd) and spat it out, then turned itself off, when i turned it back on, it wont give me the option of allowing me to eject any other cds or put any new ones in, so at the moment i have about 4 cd's in it that i cant get access to, its out of warrenty, so if anyone knows how to get access to the damn thing so i can take out hte cd's or at least reset it so it starts working properly, it would be much appreciated as id like to be able to use my cd player in my car

so list of problems with cd player:

1-can see there is 4 cd's in, but goes back to the radio as soon as i press any button to do with it.
2-cannot eject/load any cd's out/into it.
3-out or warrenty so if its possible, am i able to take it out of the dash to get to the cds to take em out?

You put the cd unit in, so you should be able to take it out - if necessary, take it to bits.

Before you do that though, try disconnecting the battery for an hour or two and see if that resets it.

in response to the first one, no i cant, the cd's are in, the lights are on for the slots theyve taken up but i cant get em out and i cant put any in, if i press the eject button, it shows me, but doesnt let me do anything, then about 2 seconds later, it goes back to the radio, the single cd slot still works, just not the interchange, which is retarded but u know

in regrades to the second point, ill have to give that a go, dont know when ill be able to do it, if it doesnt, i guess it will be a trip to the dealership

Similar problem,
I am having issues with both the mono and the 6 disc CD player in my car. My mono over heats and gets a warning "too hot".
I still have 3 CD stuck in the, 6 Disc front loader cd player which it has eaten. I have a "CD error" message on the display. So I can see that the are in but
When I press eject all, it makes a bad electronic / mechanical noise failing to unload them.
Suggestions????
I have a 2007 1.5dCi Dynamique. :banghead Does anyone know how to fix it? Cheers Shaun

The manual says "never carry out work on a system component - any faulty component must be replaced", so the dealer will charge you £80+VAT for diagnosis, then sell you a new kit, then install it at £120 per hour...

STH, isn't your car still on warranty? Bad luck if not.

i had a similar problem with my cd changer............was full of discs but wouldn`t play them or eject them. i removed the changer, you need tools to slide into the two slots in the front of the unit, on the back of the unit is a block connector, i unplugged it and refitted it, even held it upside down to help eject the discs, and suddenly everything worked again.
i know its illogical, but it worked and may be worth a try.
