Do you get many rattles/ vibrations through out the car?

Had a sub/amp in my old focus and it used to make the back 3/4 pannels vibrate and something underneath, sounded well nasty if you were stood outside of the car.

dynamat is like sticky foiled sheets hich absorbe the vibrations and make the music sound better.

IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE, WELL WORTH IT.!!

http://www.dynamat.com/products_car_audio_introduction.html

as my sounds are quire loud, it is required.

but depends on how loud you system is.

get the boot lid dynamated and the side pannels (rear quarters)

possably the boot well as well.

here is a list (if it works) of ebay listing on dynamat

http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=dynamat

You probably don't need any Dynamat, you'll be to busy listening to the parcel shelf rattle.

You might be able to soundproof your cars but what about your hearing in the years to come? Sorry to sound like a wet blanket but it is a serious matter.

All depends whether your aim is sound quality or volume. I got my sub purely for SQ, Dynamat gets rid of a lot of road noise hence you don't need it as loud.

i initially got mine for loud deep earth shaking basss!!!! but with my knowledge improving over the years, its not the sub its ALL the components you need to upgrade.

so mine sounds VERY high SQ at VERY high volume, No distortion at all.

Im well impressed

if there is another meet, i'll give anyone a demo if they want to hear it.

MeganeChick:

With that sub it states 300WRMS, but you will probably loose about 100 - 150 wrms. depending on the quality of wire you use and the input signal from your HU and the RCA's and the amp (of course) which is not specified.

im not saying its gona be crapp, it will be loud but not as loud as mine!!! :P

you will like it and u will get vibration but not alot. you will be happy :D

lol

just a quick thing, if you liek pink, they do this sub and box in pink as well....sumin 4 u chicks.

cactusbob - i have the std speakers and HU at the mo and think they are okay except when the bass is up loud. so thought id get a sub to sort the bass distortion out really.

doesnt sound like i need to be sound proofing it then - i thought it was to stop the vibration sounding awful outside the car.

ICEMAN - haha yeah i imagine urs will be louder then - im just doing some minor mods to the car cus i know im gonna sell it next year (and get an RS!!! woooo) so dont wanna do too much to it at the mo.

p.s. lol why does everyone think i like pink? haha thats the fourth time thats pink stuff has been mentioned on here to me ;) lol

i got a sub already though - but thanks for the info :)
