Wondered if someone could clarify something for me? Have just bought a 54 plate megane cc which is fitted with a update list H/U and an in-dash multidisk. I'm wanting to add a jack for ipod, etc and there seems to be a few stories about what you can and can't do (is there maybe 2 versions?). Some mention there's 2 aux in plugs on the rear which you can activate the AUX on the stereo and use and others say you use a green connector and loose the 6 disk. I've not got the tools to pull mine out - am getting today to try tonight, I don't have the code either (well have a green piece of paper with 3 sets of 4 numbers on it written in french - could this be it?) so don't want to start messing about until I know if I can just plug the 2 audio plugs in. Can anyone clarify, or have a pic of the back to show me? I don't mind making my own plug, but don't want to start buying all the bits if I loost my multi.
Thanks

When I got my Megane in April I fitted my Dension Ic>Link Plus, which connects an iPod to the Update List Head unit. I don't have a CD-Changer, so used the CD-Changer port. In your case, since you just want to get audio from the iPod to the Aux in it should be fairly straightforward:
Get an Aux cable from Audio shop or ebay etc.
Remove head unit and plug it in the hole (next to CD-Changer one)
Read the manual about how to enable the Aux, and select it
Plug the other end of your cable into the output of your iPod (probably headphone) and you'll get muzak!
Tidy up cabling as required
The problem with it is that there's no easy way to charge the iPod, nor control it. If you lost the CD-Changer then you could do both those things.
Note, for anyone with a Tuner List head unit, it doesn't have the Aux in - that's the difference between them.

Thanks for the information
Hi there - thanks for the information - do you know what kind of connection it is at the stereo end eg 3.5, 2 audio plugs etc? The reason I use just the jack is that we have an ipod and a MP3 player, but also our phones have 3.5mm headphone sockets so you can connect that up if necessary for instant handsfree - also satnav if req'd can be connected.
Thanks
Robin

It's not jack or phono, but pins. See the details here:

It's marked C2

Excellent, Thanks
I've ordered a plug and pins off ebay last night after seeing a similar diagram on the net - but this one is much clearer. I took the H/U out last night for a look before I ordered it - so should be on my way now....
Thanks to all for help.
