no dash display for the radio nothing working

Too my radio out of my meagan to replace for a dvd player.
Not really happy with it so decided to buy a radio with a 6cd changer.
Put them in but nothing working, there is no dash display just the clock, no function to insert code or showing any radio function.
The radio will turn on and when pressed there is a audio bleep but nothing else.
The cd changer is the same boots up and beeps but dosnt work, there is also a cd stuck that will not eject.
Am i missing something or is it just broke?

Also along with the wiring blocks that push into the radio there is a wire that seams to be cut behind the dash, a single blue wire unsure if this has any relivence?
