Megane CC 6 cd changer won't release -help?

I have been trying to attach an aux cable to the back of the radio so I can play music directly from my phone. To get the radio out I had to remove the 6 cd changer. I got the right tools and the right side of the cd changer unit unclips with no problems but the left side is giving me grief. No matter what angle I put in the detachmenet tool it just won't work, it feels like the clasp is broken. Any ideas? Thanks in advance...
