Upgraded to update list problems!
Hi, a mate of mine has bought an update list radio off eBay, it seems to be powering up and everything, takes a disk and beeps when you press buttons but nothing is displayed on the screen, the screen does seem to be working, dulls an brightens when lights are put on/off.. any idea how to fix this??

can you go from a tuner list to update list? thought the wiring/signals was diff.

This is from what i understand when i was researching how to install my double din but You cant put an update list radio in a car which does not have one in orginally. this is because the update list radio runs on a canbus system where as the original one does not. It is impossible to "upgrade" to a update list radio.
